For 45 years Therafirm has manufactured support stockings which create pressure at the ankle, thereby driving the blood flow deep into the circulatory system and back toward the heart. This therapeutic gradient compression is greatest at the angle and decreases gradually the length of the leg. The pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).
